ARRIVAL IN MANAUS (02/08 – SUNDAY):
Welcome to Manaus!
ATTENTION: Arrivals must be MANDATORY between the 11a.m. and 03 p.m. If the student buys his ticket without authorization from the Belo Brasil and before the official confirmation of the trip, we will not be responsible for exchange fees for airline tickets.
IMPORTANT: Belo Brasil is not responsible for any flight delays or cancellations resulting from airline decisions, nor for flights that are purchased in violation of the official arrival and departure times of each trip, and the student must bear any costs of these unforeseen events, such as possible daily monitor fees (R$120,00/day), transportation hotel/airport/hotel or hotel//hotel (between R$50,00 and R$200,00 – prices may vary according to each city and location) and also the costs of any hotel fees (prices may vary according to each city and hotel, and will be informed to the student, who must pay for his/her daily fee(s) directly at check-in).
Belo Brasil Tours has a team of monitors who will accompany you upon arrival at the airport in Manaus (transfer cost included). For this to happen without setbacks, the student must provide the following information by email by July 1st to intercambio@belobrasil.com.br:

To facilitate the meeting with the monitor of the Belo Brasil at the airport, we recommend that you wear a t-shirt from your exchange program.
How to proceed at the airport:
– Do not leave the arrivals platform unaccompanied under any circumstances! After collecting your luggage, head to the arrivals gate – that’s where Belo Brasil’s staff will be waiting for you.
– If you leave the airport alone, in addition to making it difficult for our staff to find you, you may delay the logistics of the trip and delay the reception of your colleagues. Wait for the monitor before leaving to buy snacks or go to the bathroom.
AIRFARE: If you are going to Manaus by plane, contact Belo Brasil by email intercambio@belobrasil.com.br so we can check the best flight options for you. No tickets shall be issued until the travel confirmation! If you have any doubts, please consult Belo Brasil’s team. If the student (or family) books an airline ticket without our authorization, we will not be responsible for rebooking costs, if there is any change in the travel date.
After leaving the airport, the students take a private transfer to the marina/pier to board the expedition boats.
Upon arrival in Manaus, students will stay directly on the expedition boats, which will be anchored in a beautiful region on the Rio Negro, sleeping in authentic hammocks in true indigenous style, discovering the soul of the forest! Fantastic!!!

Orientation Meeting: We will pass on all the details and information about the trip with the presence of the entire team. After this orientation, you will be prepared to make the most of your fantastic trip!

03/08 – MONDAY
MANAUS / PRESIDENT FIGUEIREDO / MANAUS
Breakfast included).
08a.m. – After breakfast, our motorized canoes will take us to the marina/pier, where we will board our bus and travel along the BR-174, crossing the Amazon rainforest, until we reach the city of Presidente Figueiredo.
10:30a.m. – Arrival at Presidente Figueiredo.
Departure for one of our wonderful adventures: Walk in the Forest on trails to the Refúgio do Maroaga Cave (place of hiding place for the chief of the Waimiri/Atroari tribe and also a place of important research, as it is one of the few sandy caves in Brazil that have the Shrimp Albino, plus two other small fish, also albino). The cave is located within an Environmental Protection Area, and we will have the opportunity to bathe in a waterfall in the middle of the forest.
Lunch (not included).
Visit to a beautiful waterfall, where you can take a nice bath in crystal clear waters! You will also have the opportunity to learn more about the fauna and flora of the region.
04p.m. – Return to Manaus.

04/08 – TUESDAY
MANAUS / BOAT EXPEDITION
Breakfast (included).
09a.m. – Departure for the cultural tour passing through the Ponta Negra neighborhood, Amazonas Theater (Opera House), Port of Manaus, Rio Negro Palace, Fish Market and Handicrafts.
We will sail to the south side of the Rio Negro, passing through Manaus to see the old pier, the fish market, the simplicity of the houses of the natives who live near the river, until finally reaching the meeting of the waters of the Negro and Solimões rivers that form the Amazon River – a wonder of nature!
Lunch in Manaus (not included).
After visiting the meeting of the waters, we will sail up the Negro River to the Janauari Ecological Reserve, where we will board motorized canoes to a floating community to see the famous aquatic plants Vitória-Régia.
Dinner on the boat (included).
05/08 – WEDNESDAY
FOREST / BOAT EXPEDITION
Breakfast is served on the main terrace of the boat.
Fantastic visit to a tribe of native Indians Amazônia with time to experience a little of the daily life of the real forest people!
Aboard our motorized canoes, we will enter the flooded forest (igapós) to see the Sumaúma tree – considered by the Indians as the sacred tree of life.
Lunch – served on the boat’s terrace.
Sailing further north on the Rio Negro we will reach one of these places in Amazônia where we feel enchanted: Anavilhanas Archipelago! The second largest freshwater archipelago in the world! Unique and absolutely enchanting!
We will sail along the igarapés aboard motorized canoes for the adventure of nocturnal alligator spotting.
Dinner on the boat, in the heart of the forest, under the sky of Amazônia!
06/08 – THURSDAY
FOREST / BOAT EXPEDITION
Breakfast is served on the main terrace of the boat.
We will sail to the place where you can observe the Pink Dolphins of Amazônia. Unique and exciting!
Lunch served on the boat.
We will board our motorized canoes piloted by specialized captains and we will go out to observe the fauna and flora of the region.
Free time to relax and swim in the river waters.
Dinner will be served on the main deck of the boat (included).
07/08 – FRIDAY
FOREST / BOAT EXPEDITION
We will wake up very early for a sport fishing trip for fish from Amazônia, including the famous Amazonian piranhas.
Breakfast (included).
Soon after, we will visit Casa da Farinha/Tapioca/Açaí, where we will follow the entire process of making flour and tapioca.
Lunch (included).
We will sail in the lakes formed in the Acajatuba region where we will visit a typical Amazonian caboclo house.
Visit to a beautiful community of caboclos (natives of Amazônia) with time to experience a little of the daily life of the people of Amazônia! The state of Amazonas has 98% of its forest preserved! Discover one of the most important reasons for this preservation now, while visiting an authentic community of native people of the jungle, where we will be part of unforgettable moments, we will get to know in a very spontaneous way the daily life of these wonderful people who live in the forest.
Cultural exchange: We will organize a social action with the Acajatuba community.
Visit the turtles of the Amazon Project.
Dinner will be served on the main deck of the boat (included).
08/08 – SATURDAY
FOREST / BOAT EXPEDITION
Watch the spectacular Sunrise!
Breakfast served on the upper deck of the boat (included).
After breakfast, we will sail down the Rio Negro, with a pleasant stop on a beach to relax and enjoy this paradisiacal place in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest.
Lunch on the boat (included).
Get ready: survival trekking!
Prepare your backpack: water, sunscreen, hat and insect repellent. Today’s expedition will be under the command of specialized jungle guides: you will learn how to make fire, extract food from the forest and even make the famous indigenous hunting weapon (blow gun)!!!
Dinner will be served on the main deck of the boat (included).
09/08 – SUNDAY
FOREST / BOAT EXPEDITION

Let’s put our canoes in the water and sail through the igapós accompanied by specialized forest professionals, and explore the true and legendary Amazônia! The largest tropical forest in the world! Today you can paddle in authentic indigenous canoes in the creeks, swamps and lakes of rare beauty!
Explore our mini library: Time to relax in the hammocks and read a good book.
Lunch (included).
Learn how to make unique indigenous crafts from Amazônia with our boat guides.
Dinner will be served on the main deck of the boat (included).
Overnight in the forest (optional)!
In the morning, we will return to the boat for breakfast.
10/08 – MONDAY
FOREST / BOAT EXPEDITION / YOUR CITY
Return from the rainforest campsite to the boat.
Breakfast (included) will be served on the boat.
ZERO CARBON PROJECT: each participant will be invited to plant a tree in the Amazon.
We will sail down the Rio Negro to Manaus.
Lunch (included) will be served on the boat.
Early dinner (included) will be served on the boat.
08:00p.m. – Forecast of arrival at the Floating Port in Manaus and transfer of students to embark at Manaus International Airport.
Our team of guides will accompany students on their boarding, which must take place between 11p.m. of August 10th and 06a.m. of August 11th:
